World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft is the largest MMORPG game in the world. Boasting an estimated eleven million active players players, World of Warcraft, aka WoW, has officially become the largest and greatest virtual world game ever created. Players can play as their own customized character in a 3D environment that is extremely realistic and life like.

Here are a few reasons why World of Warcraft is so popular:

• Players have the choice of either playing as a “good” guy or “bad” guy. The Alliance is for the “heroes”, and the Horde is for the “villains”. Of course, players are allowed more than one character, so some experiment with both sides. imagination and be something other than human, WoW allows characterizations of Night Elves, Blood Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Orcs, Trolls, Undeads, and more. Of course players can still make their characters human if they want to.

• If a player wants to use his or her

• There are exciting classes to choose from, including: Warriors, Mages, Rouges, Priests, Warlocks, and more. Since players are allowed more than one character, they can experiment to find out what class suits them the best. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

• Since there are so many players, the virtual world, Azeroth, is extremely large, and boasts more land to explore than other MMORPG games. There are entire countries—continents even—for both the Horde and Alliance players to explore.

• For players interested in PVP, WoW is infamous for allowing players to go at it one-on-one. Some of the many WoW servers are especially designed for PvP members.

There are so many other reasons to play World of Warcraft, that I don’t have time to possibly name them all. It’s no wonder there have been so many reports of people becoming “addicted” to the game—its exciting, fun features are so enjoyable that time flies when playing. The game has become so popular that people are even investing in WoW game gold!

Although some players do like to buy gold from others, it goes against Blizzard’s (game makers) policies. It can be an enjoyable experience to earn gold the right way, and the game provides many “professions” for the players to choose from so that their character can “earn” gold by doing things such as mining, enchanting, tailoring, collecting herbs, making medicine, skinning, engineering, etc.

As if the game can’t get any more popular, Blizzard has been releasing expansions to the game, including the recent Burning Crusade pack, which allows more options for the players. Coming shortly there’s going to be another installment of the WoW expansion packs, Wrath the Lich King. Because of the continuous expansions, World of Warcraft is set to maintain its high MMORPG status for a long time to come.
